Freewriting for Business
Time spent writing and reading is a huge part of our working life. Most of that writing is dull, mechanical and doesn’t connect with the reader. Too often, we forget that writing is in large part creative. When we learn how to use creative writing techniques, business emails, reports and memos become both fun to write and motivational to read.
This two-day course loosens up, stretches and exercises your writing muscles to help you find a natural style that is clear and shows empathy for your reader. Using a left-brain approach, you learn how to use creative thinking and writing skills to become a more confident and versatile writer. These skills can be applied to business writing and to personal writing.
Who Should Attend

Our Approach
We recognize that people learn best by doing, and they do a lot in this course. It includes mini-lectures, small- and large-group discussions, and lots of hands-on activities. It is highly interactive to reinforce what is taught.
You’ll start by warming up with structured creative writing exercises. You’ll learn how to find your own natural “voice,” and how to write from different points of view and to different audiences. By the end of the second day, you’ll be able to construct a compelling argument with confidence.
Course Length and Size
This is a two-day course. We recommend a maximum class of twelve people. This provides for healthy group interaction.
