How to Read a Paperback

Do you ever find that the spines of your paperbacks snap in one place and the pages fall out?

Here’s the solution: Before you start reading, break the spine properly. Do this by opening the book to about page 20. Place your book on a table and with the heel of your hand flatten the spine, where the pages are joined. Continue to open and flatten your book at 20 – 30 page intervals.

When you’re finished, your spine will be gently broken in, your paperback will last longer, and you’ll be able to read with greater comfort.

Happy reading.
